Two Sisters, Two Families
The Story of Hannah, Leslie, and Linda, their CASA Volunteer
Each year, Voices for Children, the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program for San Diego County, creates an educational video to raise awareness about the impact CASA volunteers have on foster children’s lives. In 2014, the video highlighted CASA volunteer Linda Wong, whose tireless advocacy resulted in two sisters, Hannah and Leslie, being adopted by two grown siblings. Though the girls have been adopted to these two separate families, they’re part of one larger family and still live in the same neighborhood. They will not only be sisters but also “cousins.”
