After attending an Information Session and submitting your application, you will be invited to schedule an interview with one of our team members.
The interview will take about 60-90 minutes at one of our offices. Though we will discuss personal information, it is a professional interview, so we ask that you treat it as such. Please be on time and dress professionally, as you would for court.
The interview is an opportunity for us to get to know more about you, for you to learn more about the program, and to determine which kind of case might best suit you. We’ll discuss your schedule, your background and experience, any special skillsets you have, as well as any concerns or questions you have about the role. We are interested to hear what types of advocacy and cases you are most excited about, but please remember that our greatest determining factor for matching children with CASAs is the child's needs.
If after the interview we determine a mutual fit, you will be accepted into Advocate University. There are many factors that go into the decision-making process, and most—but not everyone—who applies will be accepted. We want to be sure it will be a good fit on both sides.
