Christina Piranio

Director of Philanthropy

Christina Piranio serves as Director of Philanthropy at Voices for Children.  In this role, she oversees the operations of VFC’s fundraising efforts with an emphasis on our grants portfolio. She is a nonprofit leader who is passionate about the capacity of the nonprofit sector to achieve measurable social change.  Christina worked previously as the Executive Director at Thrive Scholars in Los Angeles. Prior to that she held positions at First Place for Youth in Oakland, and Casa Cornelia Law Center and the International Rescue Committee in San Diego.  In each of these roles she led teams to achieve the organization’s strategic goals on behalf of former foster youth, refugee teens, and first-generation college students.  Christina holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Masters in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of San Diego.
