It was our pleasure to host you at the Voices for Children Judges’ Reception on Thursday, April 10th. We were grateful for the opportunity to express our appreciation for our Juvenile Court judges and the hard and important work that they do each day. We also welcomed the chance to share stories and information about the special role that our Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers play in the lives of youth in Riverside County's foster care system.
We extend a special thank you to our panel of judges:
- Hon. Judith C. Clark
- Hon. Jacqueline C. Jackson
- Hon. Mark E. Petersen
Their continued dedication to our communities' children and families is truly inspiring. I also want to extend our thanks to Anthony O'Leary, Panel Moderator and VFC Real Word Consultant and CASA Mariana Robles who shared her personal journey advocating and providing hope for thirteen children over the years.
“The work we do is not easy. But when we see that child smile, when we hear a mother talk about her hopes for her family, when we witness a reunion between siblings, or when a child finds stability — it all becomes worth it.” -CASA Mariana.
Our work at Voices for Children is made possible by volunteers and supporters like you. If you are interested in learning more about becoming a CASA – or encouraging people you know to become a CASA – please visit our website at speakupnow.org.
