Riverside County CASA of the Month – June 2022

June 22, 2022 by Voices for Children

CASA Bob G. is a volunteer who literally goes the distance for children in foster care. He is currently assigned to not one, not two, but three cases.

After completing Advocate University in 2017, Bob was put on “William’s” case. Five years later, he is still William’s CASA. Although William has made frequent moves across Riverside County and beyond, Bob has always been there for him and drives to see him no matter where he is.

Recently, CASA Bob took on two additional cases of youth in Riverside County foster care who are currently placed out-of-county. Bob provides remote advocacy, communicating with case professionals virtually, and has even traveled to visit one of the youth. Bob makes these youth feel supported even when they’re far away from “home.”

CASA Bob’s advocacy supervisor adds that he never misses a meeting and writes thoughtful, thorough court reports. For these reasons and more, Bob G. is our Riverside County CASA of the Month!
