Voices for Children to Host Starry Starry Night at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park
Annual gala will raise funds to support children in foster care in San Diego County
Voices for Children along with Honorary Chairs Hanna and Mark Gleiberman will host a spectacular evening under the stars to support children living in San Diego County foster care and the life-changing advocacy of Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers. The annual Starry Starry Night gala will take place on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at the breathtaking Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.
Emceed by CBS 8’s Marcella Lee, the event will feature a cocktail reception, music, and performances by the San Diego Children’s Choir and Mainly Mozart Youth Orchestra. Attendees will enjoy an exquisite dining experience while listening to impactful stories from the CASA program and the CASA of the Year award presentation. Guests can participate in a live auction, Fund-a-CASA paddle raise, and dancing. Proceeds from Starry Starry Night, which topped $2.2 million in 2021, advance Voice for Children’s mission of providing a CASA to every child in foster care who needs one.

Founded in 1980, Voices for Children transforms the lives of children in foster care by providing them with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs). These volunteers – trained and supported by Voices for Children – advocate for youth in court, school, medical settings, and more to ensure their needs are met. Over time, a CASA often becomes the most consistent adult in the life of a child in foster care.
