Jack has been a CASA since October 2022 and has served five youth living in foster care. His dedication goes far beyond the ordinary. For one youth who lived hundreds of miles away, CASA Jack made the commitment to visit in person every third month, ensuring the child knew he was supported despite the distance. When he accepted educational rights for this youth, CASA Jack worked tirelessly to help him succeed in school. Even when the youth resisted and expressed frustration, CASA Jack never gave up. Through his persistence, the youth was placed in a school where his unique needs could be met. With this new support, the youth began attending school regularly and later thanked CASA Jack for never giving up on him.
Another youth for whom Jack advocated was in a placement where the caregivers were eager to adopt. CASA Jack was an unwavering support to the caregivers, who deeply appreciated his encouragement and partnership. At a court hearing, CASA Jack shared with the judge that he believes this home is “a match made in heaven,” highlighting his thoughtful advocacy and genuine care for the youth’s future. The youth was adopted before the next hearing.
CASA Jack is extremely supportive not only of the youth he currently advocates for, but also of the youth’s parents. The youth was removed from his mother and placed with his father, whom he hardly knew. CASA Jack supported both the youth and his father as they worked to build a relationship. He recognized the progress the youth was making and collaborated with the full support team to ensure he attended school consistently, had appropriate clothing, received the visits he wanted, and had access to other essential needs. At the same time, CASA Jack made sure the mother remained included and involved.
Jack embodies what it means to be a CASA: persistent, compassionate, and deeply committed to the best interests of children. He also volunteers his time on the outreach committee to help spread the word about Voices for Children. CASA Jack’s unwavering advocacy and ability to build meaningful relationships with youth and caregivers alike make him an outstanding advocate.

Favorite thing about being a CASA “The sense that by maybe making a little difference in a kid’s life, the realization of how lucky I am to be where I am in life, and the opportunity it gives me to be a CASA. I think I may get more than I give.”
